Spotlessly clean and truly exceptional place with hard-working and wonderfully helpful staff in an overly intrusive manner. Perfect and incredible location for trip in Windermere. Very clean restaurant for breakfast.

The restaurant was very clean for breakfast here, I had outstanding dishes. There were an electric kettle, an individual safe, and central heating. The location was stunning and lovely for first time visitors to Windermere.

The unit we got was reasonably large with a Jacuzzi bath, stunning views, as for instance.

Would go back in flash, thoroughly enjoyed this place, thanks. The setting is amazing and great, very close to the library which was much more relaxing, Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside and a hill with partial views of Windermere. Plus, the hotel is 6 km from Orrest Head Viewpoint.

They offered me slices of fresh bread, cereals, pastries, pancakes, and omelette in the morning. The hotel had a marvellous location on the lakes. Plus, it was really close to Ambleside and many attractions.

Lovely location for Windermere, short walk to Windermere and surrounding lakes, and a hill with a brilliant view. Comfy bed in the double room, plus an electric kettle, an individual safe, and central heating. A wide range of food for the continental breakfast.

Not so great views.

Make sure you stay in the double room with the view of the lake. The breakfast is nice, and the location is amazing near to Bowness & Ambleside, the library with that amazing view, and the Lake District.

Enjoyed my relaxing stay for a wedding. It was in a beautiful and good location to the valley.

Recently refurbished, large unit with a four-poster bed, a lakeside view, as example. All in all absolutely perfect and nice setting just next door to a hill over looking the lake, hiking, Ambleside and the lake and Ambleside, Bowness and Lakeside.

Recently refurbished and great-sized units with a glorious view over the lake. Lots of food for the English breakfast.

Had secluded location on a beautiful sunny afternoon looking down into the lake. Moreover, it was close enough to Brockhole Visitor Centre.

I didn't want to leave, so would definitely recommend this hotel. This was a fairly nice stay for two nights. The location was great and fab, close to a valley and a lake. Also, it was 2 km from a preserved farm. The restaurant was incredible for breakfast, I tried excellent dishes.

Beautiful location, stunning views, friendly staff, dog-friendly. Conveniently located between two towns near a quiet lake.

We stayed in a delightful double room at the Merewood Country House Hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we enjoyed a magnificent view. The hotel itself is nestled in a serene and picturesque location, surrounded by stunning grounds. Its proximity to the lake, the main restaurant, and Lake Windermere was a definite plus.

The restaurant here was very clean for breakfast, we both ordered delicious dishes. It had jacuzzi in the spotless bathroom. The location turned out to be magnificent and fab. Everybody was attentive and knowledgeable and the room was updated.

Views were not so great.
